Wanita 24 tahun asal Selandia Baru ini, kembali setelah vakum karena kematian anjing peliharaannya yang bernama Pearl pada November 2019.
Pada 2020 Lorde kembali membuat album ketiganya yang akan rilis pada 2021, setelah album Melodrama yang rilis pada 2017.
